I am building a zenair 601 xl  with a rotax 912 s , by scratch.

The plans that I have for the engine mount does not show the alignment of the engine in relation to the reference line , the upper longeron.

Shall I alignh the reference line with the cranckshaft or the center of the propeller?

Sorry for my bad english

Thank  you for the help

Hi Rui!

Did you download the Rotax 912 Installation Manual at https://www.rotax-owner.com/pdf/IM_912_Series_Ed3_R0.pdf Chapter 10 should help you figure it out.

Hi Jim
Thank you for your reply.
When I look to the plans of mountings for jabiru, continental and lycoming direct drive engines the cranckshaft line alignes with the upper longeron so does the propeller axis.

With the rotax the propeller axis will work above the upper longeron reference line.
I checked the mount and confirmed that all measures are allright.
I just want to be sure that this is allright.

Thank you again
