Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
I have overhauled 10 sets of bing carbs in the past year for leaving car gas inside for too long.
First.....have the green float bowl gaskets
Second...Remove and clean jet # 8
Third......clean the float slides

Hello Joey,
Could you define too long ? I use this fuel in my Rotax about 60-70% of the time, and my plane may go a couple weeks without flying. Recently I went about a month, although my average is about every week or two in the winter. I do use fuel stabilizer also.
Thanks, Jim
If you dont fly every 3 weeks....you might consider using 100 ll as apposed to mogas
Hello Joey,
I was just looking at the Rotax parts diagram, and can't determine what jet you are referring to as # 8 . Could you tell me the number shown on the Rotax parts diagram for jet # 8 ? ( I was looking at the carburetor parts diagram on the Lockwood web page) .
Thanks, Jim
