I am planning on putting a UL 350iS in my CH601. The manual says to maintain 80% power for the first 15 hours. Could someone with a UL 350iS in a CH601 or 650 comment on the airspeed that results in?

One possible option for you is to run 80% of max RPM (3300) with ISA conditions if you need a starting point.  UL use to have torque and horsepower charts with fuel flows but I can't seem to find them on their site.

Mark, found the power/torque curves for the UL350is in an older operating manual.  Look like 2350 RPM will give you 80% of nominally rated 130 HP.  If not ISA conditions this will be off somewhat but it's a good starting point.  Good luck!

Mark, congratulations with your new 350iS engine!

Thank you Dave for posting this, additional performance info can be found on the ULPower website by following this link:

Blue skies!

Not sure on the airspeed, however from the operations manual of the 350i, 72% throttle position = 80% power. I am running a 350i with Dynon Skyview which has the throttle position sensor displayed. I have not flown my 650 yet, waiting for permission to test in he UK.
