Want to replace existing shoulder harness with 5 point harness with Y belt. Did Zenith ever offer this option in a kit, I need drawings to submit to FAA. Thanks Barry

I've never seen this mod, but I've never looked.

Wouldn't Zenith, or whoever holds the ASTM production certificate, be the approval authority?  I don't think the FAA gets involved with S-LSA certificated planes.  Last I knew, about a year ago when I took transition training there, Buzz at www.flybuzzair.com held the production rights to the 601/650.  I don't know if that gives him the authority to issue change authorizations, but I expect it does.  At any rate, Buzz has personally built a few 601/650 and restored a couple so he might be a good resource anyway, if you want to design your own and submit it for approval. Great guy, but really busy.
