I am looking to replace my Warp Drive propeller blades with low inertia Senenich C70MY blades (low inertia foam core blades designed to fit the warp drive hub).  The diameter of these blades in the warp drive hub would be 72”.  Too much prop or just right for my CH-701/Rotax ULS?  Anyone have experience with these blades?

I started with the warp drive, and have been using the C70MY 72" for about a year now. It is a nice, lightweight prop-and fit and finish is beautiful. low inertia- spins up faster, and has a bit more thrust than warp drive for sure.plus, it is quieter. it is a bit larger dia., but i have the zenith tall front fork and 22 tundras which gives me 10" of clearance(plenty!) So no issue.

So is it worth it? slight performance in thrust and spinup plus good looks and quieter operation...thats your call- because cost is significant over warp drive. But i like it.20221028_154532.jpg

Thanks for your reply Shawn - That was the confirmation I needed, my blades should arrive later this week.

Shawn - Are you using a 912S?  What pitch did you end up using to get full power while avoiding over speed?

Hi mark,
Yes, 912uls. In all my testing, 11.25-11.50 pitch gave me best overall performance for climb and cruise. I will reach 5800 rpm at 5000 ft wot and 5650 at sea level. The 701 takes off short no matter what you do, and i am getting 85mph cruise at 5200 routinely. Your avg. alt. May be different, but i think 11.5 is a good starting point.
Let me know how it goes...happy flying!

I do not have any experience with the Senenich C70MY blades. but do have with the Powerfin. its lighter than warp Drive which I own. I borrowed my friends PowerFin. It is very smooth and performs very well. It is also ground adjustable. Contact Powerfin.com or 1-360-403-0635. I had a standard Senenich on my Jabiru 2200 and was pleased with its performance. I fly a 701 with a Rotax 912ULS also.
