Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
Hi Guys,
Reached the point in my CH750 plans build at which I fitted the S/H 0-200A. I had purchased the engine at the start of the project , it had been dry stored for a number years, being unable to get it running I traced the problem to a very weak spark from the magnetos,.
Removed them for inspection and found that the coils & condensers were within specified limits and the points in ex condition, both had 200 HRS running time since the last inspection.
The rotor magnets seem to have lost a significant amount of power due to their prolonged inactivity, on a budget so can’t really afford a pair of new ones, are there any shops that would re magnetise the rotors or some S/H serviceable rotors for sale ,I have attached a photo of the mag data plate.
Thanks.

You might try a mag shop like Aircraft Ignition Services or others. They’d know your options.
Many thanks Carl for your reply and information.
