Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
Hi, All, and Merry Christmas Eve!
Working on the forward fuselage, I'm at the point where I'm installing all the stuff that goes on top of the fwd fuselage floor.
Since I have the sliding seats option, some stuff gets left out, some stuff gets added - specifically the under-seat supports.
The plans sheet says to space SS01-1 81mm back from the main front seat support - that's rivet hole center to rivet hole center. As you can see in my enclosed pic, that line is about theeeeeese much behind the now-unused rivet hole for the not-needed center seat support. I also noted on the plans that SS01-1 is supposed to use the edge rivet holes that eventually mate up with the fwd fuse side panels.
Eye-balling it, if I cleco the edge holes with SS01-1, I can flex SS01-1 enough that that centerline hole matches up with SS01-1's rivet hole. HOWEVER, the part is then skewed about 3mm on the armrest side.
So. Did you:
1. install SS01 skewed?
2. install it straight and not put a rivet in the center hole, since drilling it would result in a too-large hole?
3. Drill it out anyway but take it to A5 size?
4. Something else?
Thanks for any suggestions;

HI CArl, I left that hole open. I also cut and re-installed the original supports up to the new crosswise ones instead of leaving them out and just filling the holes. The sliding seat option was a tough one for me to do since things are so tighly fit. Have fun with it. Tom
