Had access to Garmin GDL39 and love having traffic. Just ordered, built and installed my own Stratux. This thing works and for a not computer geek, I'm impressed I did it and it connects easier than the GDL. I have both 978 and 1090 traffic, removed the cover on one of the blue antennas to fit in the USB slots. I have it hardwired to a new 12v to USB power supply. With this location on the RV8 cross bar, I can still reach the Micro card for software updates. I used the antenna's that came in the kit and they magnet to the roll bar just fine. I have Skyview, make sure your Transponder settings have it set to ADS-B in (i selected 978 Hz).

Flew today and picked up ground ADSB towers just off the ground. Also seemed to see all traffic, very accurately and current location.

My only complaint is I'm using AOPA Fly Q on my iPad and they don't have dynamic mapping like Garmin. The sectional gets crowded and not functional in track up mode.

Everything you need to know.
