HI purchased a tow bar with my Cruzer but it was too long to comfortably carry in the back of the plane.  I cut the long bars at about 18 inches and made some plugs. Welded them to the open ends and painted. Slid the tang end over the plug and then drilled some 1/8 inch holes for the pin clips. Sewed up the bottom half of an old umbrella cover and made a carrying pouch. Should be much easier to carry on trips.

Great idea! I made my own tow bar and did make it so it folds in half. The pouch would make it easier to get in and out of the plane without dinging something.
