Before I spend a grand on a bluetooth headset, I thought I'd ask if anyone has had any experience with this strategy.  I am in the beginning of Phase I with my 750 and am trying to determine how to use a voice recorder to document the changes in performance as I change other parameters during flight.  The old school method is using paper and pencil to keep notes while doing the flying.  It seems to me to be safer if I could figure out how to speak into the mike and record what I need as I fly.

I know that bluetooth headsets can pare to a phone app on my iPhone to make calls.  I also know that at home in my favorite easy chair, I can pair my earbuds to my iPhone recorder app and make a recording.  But I don't know if an aviation bluetooth headset will pare with the iPhone recorder app to make a recording of my voice that is legible during flight...even if it has noise cancelling.

Has anyone tried this?  Your comments/suggestions will greatly be appreciated.

I used this adapter from My Pilot Store for adapting my headset to my GoPro for video and flight recording (with a USB adapter) and for direct to my Android phone or tablet for Audio only. I like wired solutions for some things just to make the set-up easy.     Link >  Headset Adapter

A recent episode of the Aviation News Talk podcast is all about how to record cockpit audio: https://aviationnewstalk.com/podcast/276-capturing-the-skies-why-an...

I seem to remember bluetooth being mentioned, but I don't recall the details.

Many thanks to John, Matt, and Bob, for all the suggestions to record audio in flight.  There were many more options than I ever thought.  I'll post my results in the near future.
