Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
Wanted: A CH750 qualified pilot that is acceptable to Rick Fister (builder/seller) and me (buyer) to ferry Rick's aircraft currently located at CLB2 near Kitchener Canada (just west of Toronto) to KTKI (McKinney, just North East of Dallas). 980 Nautical Miles, 10.5 to 11 hours direct no-wind.
Prefer a CFI, as I will be accompanying all or part of the flight, and would prefer to log time. Anybody we can legally pay (and that we both accept, as stated above) is also OK.
Aircraft is currently under Canadian registry. I am unclear if this is a problem if the ferry pilot is US certified... but, we can arrange for a Canadian pilot to fly it into the USA and turn it over to the ferry pilot in either Buffalo, NY or Detroit MI area, if required. This would take 1 to 2 hours off the total required to reach KTKI.
If the pilot is Canadian certified, I believe it would be best for them to obtain a US cert prior to the trip. This is a paperwork-only exercise with low fees (that I would pay, if you wish).
If the ferry pilot would prefer that I do not accompany them for the entire flight, this can be arranged as well. I'll want to be present at the arrival in the US, and fly the first leg. But if you don't want to spend 10 to 15 hours crammed in with a 6 foot 6 guy, I perfectly understand!
Expenses paid, as I'm assuming this is a couple or three days of flying, even with no weather delays. Also return airline ticket.

We've done some more research on this, and for reasons of Insurance, it appears the ferry pilot as requested above must hold a Canadian pilot certificate.
Anyone with any suggestions please contact as above.
