Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
I found a prestolite model on eBay that is missing a pulley, and it is advertised to fit the O-235. I have an O-235 C2C, but according to the information I have found it in fact is not "sized" for my engine. I have the attachment and tension brackets, so have any of you on this forum had issues with fitment and sourcing an alternator? Any prestolite users out there?
Just looking for options and input.

I don't have experience with auto alternators so I'll just throw out some thoughts you didn't ask for....
With my 0-235 I was very concerned about weight. The alternator can be a big hit on weight and balance considering it is at the very front of the plane. I went with a light weight B&C alternator - it was the lightest one I could find. They're not cheap though at around $400. However if you have already been flying with an auto alternator and are happy with your W&B, this may be a moot point.
Another consideration for my plane is that it is electrically dependent. I wanted a quality aviation alternator.
However, there are plenty of aircraft flying with auto alternators so I'm not suggesting they are not appropriate.
The Presto-lite alternator is an aircraft alternator if I am not mistake.
I just recently saw a vacuum pad driven alternator that appeals to me. I will have to do some research on this option.
