Ok...well

I registered an aircraft change of ownership on Sept 27th 2022 and submitted all the required docs and paid the fee

Canadian registered aircraft sold from one Canadian to another

Ive not heard a squawk or peep from them

Check everyday to see if the registry has been changed...still the old owner listed as of today

I got the standard email that your email was received.....I wrote them 5 days ago if there was a problem and got a vague email back that I will hear from them on Dec 23/2022 about it...not that it would be completed but I would hear from them...I just wanted to know if the paperwork is ok

called and left 5 messages over the past few weeks...no phone calls returned

is this the new normal...seems like a long time to wait for this

in the past could you not just walk in an office and do this on the spot like a car?...The Toronto Office is closed to the public

This is the reply to my email.... asking if there is any problems with my submission

Processing Times:

In accordance with the Civil Aviation Service Standards (http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/civilaviation/opssvs/servicestandards-549.htm) you should receive a response by 12/23/2022. However, due to COVID-19 many services are available in a reduced or altered capacity (e.g. in-person service by appointment only, etc.).  Under these exceptional circumstances, service standards may not always be met. Longer than usual wait times are expected for callers. Processing time can also vary depending on the complexity, the quality and the completeness of your request.

Don't hold your breath... I think mine took four months.

6+ weeks to get a Class 3 Medical, 2 weeks to get the bill. Priorities, I guess? That said I was happy to get the medical label in 6 weeks.

Update:

I checked Transport Canada website today and the registration has been changed… took 8 weeks

good news is that’s within the temporary permit grace period of 90 days

That's good - I guess things are slowly improving. Did you apply for the temporary permit? I didn't bother because I wasn't planning to fly right away and I had read that it usually takes them just as long to process an interim registration change as it takes for the regular registration change, but maybe that was only true pre-covid.

I also didn’t having plans of flying the plane right away

I think I had the old style certificate that didn’t have an area to fill out for a new owner

with Transport Canada not even answering the phone … I thought I would wait for the new certificate
