Anyone remember what size holes they drilled into the cabin frame (701) for windshield attachment? The plans call for drilling the holes to #40, but even #30 is too small and the screws provided will not catch with considerable force. Don't want to oversize them and have loose screws. Thanks for any help.

Roger, I didn't like having the metal screws at all. It seems like I read where so many of them were getting stripped or broken off or too loose. A friend and I drilled the hole a little larger and used Rivnuts. Then we over-sized the hole in the windshield a bit and use stainless number 6 screws. The over-sized hole in the windshield let the windshield expand and contract without binding. Almost 40 hours now and no problems at all..
Good idea. Some owners I've talked to complain of cracks at the top of the windshield mostly.
