I'm having a bad time with my Wing Root Skin?  (I've tried cream, just kidding!)  I clecoed the skin in place and bent it around the nose rib, but got a lot of bulging aluminum around the slat support area?  Any ideas?  I already plan on buying a new skin.

My thanks to all who responded to this question. Thanks to Joe Truncale for the answer as to why I was having trouble and to him and to JIm Derickson for the fix to my particular issue! I'll get out the fluting pliers and order another skin!
For me it was all about not getting in a hurry. I trimed my skin big to begin with, and just pushed down and, around the ribs, drilled 1 hole at a time and clecoed. marked with a sharpie and trimed with snips for bigger chunks, and a file for little chunks, brutal around the slat support, a little at a time. It was a painfully slow process, ( 8 or 9 hrs.) but it turned out really well.
Good Luck an take your time
Mason
Thanks Mason, I will be ordering my next skin and trying again! From your picture, it looks like you might be around some hunting country? What's the favorite game bird around you?
Dove season is big here.
I better get my plane built quick.
