Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
I have a workbench that I was originally planning to disassemble and use the 2x4s to build an EAA wing stand.
As I'm doing this, I'm wondering if I can just store the wings inside the four legs, after taking off the top framing. Clear dimension between the legs (width) is 21".
Would this be sufficient for the Cruzer wings with maybe a small sheet of foam or packing paper in between?
Can the wings be safely stored while resting on their leading edges (again with some soft material to cushion against hard surface).
I might still just break everything down and build the EAA stand if this seems more work! In that case, what's the minimum clear width I could get away with on either side of the central vertical members? I'm really pressed for space in my garage and desperately trying to avoid having to lug my wings somewhere else for storage...
