The bolt that connects the wing strut to the landing gear weldment, seems like it will hit the landing gear when it flexes. Am I wrong ?

Looks like the wrong length bolt. Ours use AN6-7A.
This is an An6-7a bolt. Double checked
Did you actually measure? Also, the rubber does not look right to me. Our rubber does not stick out so far that needs trimmed for the nut/bolt to fit.
Sorry I don't have a close-up, but maybe this gives an idea how far back our rubber sits compared to yours.
I measured bolt. The rubber needs trimmed , I agree . Its after market rubber . But the bolt length is my concern .
While I don't have a photo readily available of our strut bolt installed, I don't remember ours being that close. Any idea how many threads extend beyond the nut? Maybe just change the bolts thread length.
1/8 inch gap , without threads showing. Closer to 1/16th once threads are thru.
This cant be right . But it is to plans .
Guess it's the aftermarket rubber making the bolt look so long to me. I'm surprised others have not chimed in. Don't recall how many threads were through the nut on ours, but one should be fine; although I believe building standards may say two. While not preferable, you can always install with the nut on top.
I would lower the gear and install the bolt from below.
Yup, that's the plan now.
