When I started my 750 STOL build I knew I would be moving so I wanted a table that I could breakdown and carry, yet would be perfectly level.  The folks in South Africa gave me the inspiration for the following table frame.  In the South Africa photos they used 2 inch square pipes with the shipping crate boards laid across them.   So I decided to make a few improvements to the “basic” pipe design that I had seen.    The frame is from 2 inch square pipe.  The design for the frame was mine, but made by a machine shop that had a flat reference table.  When the frame is bolted together it provides a perfectly flat table top.  It is in two pieces so that I could break it down to carry (that metal is heavy).  I used concrete blocks to place the frame on - use a pump jack and I could place more (or remove blocks) to adjust the table height.  I placed 3/4 finished grade plywood on top of the frame. One full 4ft X 8ft sheet of plywood and a 4ft X 4ft sheet.  This gives a 4ft X 12ft table top. The plywood top was anchored down on each of the "legs" of the frame with a bolt. The head of each bolt was counter sunk to keep the surface of the table flat.    The wings and cabin frame fit well on this size table.   If anyone wants to make something similar feel free to adapt or use my idea in any way shape or form, BUT if anyone would like to buy my frame, I'd like to have $150 OBO.  You would have to come get the frame as shipping maybe too expensive.  I’m located in Athens, GA.
