This pilot did all the right things. His Zenith STOL ability allowed him to make a forced landing on a highway with no damage to the aircraft or person on board.

I'd love to know what went wrong with the engine.
Wow! What a landing site with those tall trees either side. Super job to get it tucked in there with what looks like no damage.

Doesn't anyone recognize the plane as belonging to a member on this forum ? I tried to look at the tail number, but it is too blurred to read . The cowling doesn't look like one on a Rotax, but I guess it doesn't have to be a Zenith supplied one. Does anyone recognize the cowling belonging to a particular engine ??? If it is a forum member, it would be nice to read all of their posts to see if they've ever had a listed engine problem or concern.
Wonder what his major concern was near touchdown ?..The trees, or possibility of a vehicle popping up at any moment.

Jim,
Notice that by looking at it, it is an 801 so will likely be a Lycoming or some such “conventional aircraft engine”.
I seen that Bob.. crazy stuff.. nice job by the pilot for sure!
