Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
So I've installed the EAA Solidworks on a new computer and am trying to teach myself how to use it. I can do some rudimentary things with it after a few days of poking. What I have been unsuccessful doing is opening the Zenith 750 Cruzer model available from http://documents.zenith.aero/3d-solidworks-model.html
That page implies that Solidworks should be able to open the .3dxml file that the model is in. Doesn't seem to be the case for SW 2020. It doesn't know anything about .3dxml.
Exercising my google-fu, it seems that there is something called "3d xml player" from Dassault Systems that should be able to handle it in a read-only mode (which is fine for now). I found such a item on Dassault's website. I installed it, but it just hangs and eventually crashes.
I'm trying to do this on Windows 10 pro.
Has anyone else been successful lately in viewing this model?
