Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
Dear Zodiac 650B builders,
I am finally close to riveting the forward part of the fuselage. I need some advice about the best way to rivet the aft part of the baggage floor. The rivet line on the side of the baggage floor close to the bulkhead sits under the upper longeron. This does not easily fit the manual rivet gun - even with angle rivet adapters.
Did you rivet the aft portion of the floor from underneath? It seems like the upper longeron needs to be installed to get everything straight and aligned before riveting.
Thanks in advance for your advice! -- and see you soon at OSH.
Best Regards, Larry Zepp, Fort Wayne, IN

after pilot drilling and clecoing everything... Rivet the side l-angles on to the baggage floor first and then rivet the l-angles to the sides of the fuselage.
Hi Pat and Robert, Thanks for your help! Robert - What a great idea! I am still getting my head around the best sequence for riveting all of these assemblies together. Thanks! Larry Zepp
