Just idle curiosity, Rick. Why did you decide to move the little wheel to the front? Bad manners as a taildragger? Just because you could? I plan to build a tailwheel version, so I already have the tailwheel gear components, but wondered what drove you to change a nice looking (and already flying) airplane.

Hi Bob,

I have been born and bred with taildraggers and really like the way they handle. However I am getting older now and my reflexes are not what they used to be, so I thought that while I was doing the XL upgrade I might as well convert my plane to the a nose-wheel configuration so that I can keep flying for a little bit longer.

I'm assuming these are used parts.  If so, how much time is on them?

Hi Dale,

Yes the parts are used but only slightly as I only did 35 hours in the XL as a taildragger. The tyres are virtually brand new as I only operated from a grass strip.
