Hi David-- Good to hear from you-I thought you skipped the country or went to the happy hunting ground - Still have some work to do on wings - fuselage abount 75% done. Are you still in the York area. I transport students to York Tech in mornings if you have time for a coffee. Keep in touch
Fred
Hi David
Whats happening with your project?
Get in touch-Fred
Hi David
What's happening? Haven't heard from you in awhile. Have my fuselage started-bottom and rear side skins rivited-floor panel ready to start mounting rudder and brake assembly-step fairings fabricated.
Keep in touch
Fred
Dave,
N949TF is a very nice handling airplane and it did not take long in the factory plane to get very comfortable. I was landing it nicely every time after just a few in my own airplane. You will really enjoy it when you are finished.
Haven't heard from you. What is your progress on your wings-have you done upgrade on main spar and center section? Also, what manuals, dvds do I need from Wm Wynne for corvair construction. How far are you on your power plant?
Hope to hear from you soon
Fred
Don't want to scare you. It's just that I don't trust FAA not to come out with some other mods or ad's later on. Like I said in my last comment to you. I will order upgrade kit after xmas after rush slows down at ZAC. Am going to do pushrods like we talked about but probably larger dia. tubing and bearings like Steve Weston and others. Are you going to do removal of solid rivits yourself or do you have help.
Keep in touch and Merry Christmas
Fred

Good to hear from you. My second wing was ready to rivit the skins but decided to install a Dynon pitot- and then the news from FAA. I am holding off- I don't want one of the first update kits because of changes or quality control. I don't like the two sets of standards either-which is if a plane is licensed anf flying they don't have to do th upgrades. But we do if we want ours passed. Also, I'm not convinced that these mods will satisfy FAA. When I had PIper and Mooney there was always a definite procedure to do or a part # to check or replace. Until FAA comes out with bulletin or ad they still not pass plane I may try to sell and get some of my investment back
Fred
Wondering how the construction is going? Also, since you took tail dragger instruction, is your plane going to be tail wheel? Keep in touch.
Fred
How is your 601 project coming along? I have my right wing in the wing cradle finished except for the wing tip. Left wing is ready to rivit rear ribs to main spar and rear channel. Keep in touch.
Fred
