Jake,  Are you still building a Zenith 801 for missionaries in Africa?  We are building our first of potentially four Zenith 801s.  If you are interested, we wouldn't mind sharing notes about the build and the process of getting your 801 to Africa.  Also, did you receive donations/discounts for your build?  Joe Gesior (joegesior@hotmail.com).

Hi Jake. Sorry to contact you this way but are you the admin of homebuiltairplanes.com? If so then I'm trying to register but the anti-spam feature does not seem to be working. I tried the "contact me" link on the site but ... it also uses the anti-spam feature! This is what I get in 3 different browsers:

Please feel free to contact me at ihab.awad@gmail.com so we don't crowd this site with chatter about HBA administration. :) Thank you and again, sorry to post on your Zenith profile this way. Please feel free to delete this comment once you read it.

jake, be sure when you go to install the standard "L"s that they all face the same way, so if the flat part not attached to the metal faces forward make sure they all face forward, it is easy to get some facing forwar and some facing aft, this will create a real problem later as you go along so be careful.

Jake, The standard "L" s are the long aluminum angle pieces. You will need to measure and cut them to length as required they are about 20mm in each direction.

Standard "L" in my plans is 19mm x 19mm x .025 Good luck with your build.

Hello Jake , I am a member there but have not visited much lately . I remember you last year trying to decide for what project , I believe at the time you where overseas . I like your site , thanks for keeping it up . Last year was a very bad one for me (economically) , just last week i got a bunch of the AL sheets to start making parts . I'm guessing you have a build log on your site ? , I will check .

Glad to see you here
