I used the 1/4 inch 4x4 angle iron. I welded it all on a stand and formed my hinges out of 1/2 steel plate. The brake is strong and should do almost all the bends I will need on the plane. It is not 8ft, I figured I would do the pieces that require more than 7ft bends another way. I post photos soon. I am still trying to figure out this site.
If you ever get the chance to visit the Zenith factory please take the time to stop by our builder assist facility too. We like to have visitors here and we are right here in Mexico, Mo. just a couple of miles from them.
Take care and good luck,
Bill Carter
