Hi Uros,

I checked and this is what I found : the number is LAS-1 it is an ACME actuator 12 Volts and the normal actuation is 86 KGs (stall is 120 Kgs) . Throw should be 3 inches (mine was 6 inches - too much travel for nothing). Look at Firgelli Automations for a suitable replacement. They have a variety that you can choose from.

I haven't tried mine in real flight situation - Plane still under contruction.

Best of luck.

Hi Uros,

I'll have to look it up but it is made by Firgelli Automation and is called a Tubular actuator. They come in diferent lenght and force. They have a website, look it up on Google. http://www.firgelliauto.com/default.php?cPath=92

The plans for the VG's came from one of the Zenith Newletters. I think the article was written by Michael Mossman. I can't find my copy so I can't verify that for sure. They are really easy to make out of scrap aluminum. I'll try to describe the process so you can make them. I cut a strip of .025al 35mm wide. Cut a bunch of blanks that are 85mm x 60 mm. Then just bend up 10 mm on both ends. You can use a sander to round the corners. The finished piece will be about 65mm x 40mm x 35mm and stand 10 mm tall. Look at my picture. I put 4 of these on either side of the Horizontal Tail.
