Hello Guy: I got some Zinc Primer for the corrosion resistance (grey) but with the RV 9A, we used Zinc Chromate (Yellow)....any idea if this is a key difference or even if you recommend this spray resistance or something entirely different? Bruce

The ducts are from Aircraft Spruce ,its been a while now but I think the part # is 05-00859.
I cut the part off that went to a hose and made a box from sheet metal and riveted to the NACA inlet. Then cut the hole and glassed to the cowling. The box holds a K&N type filter element from Rotax. It was kind of a waste to only use less than half of the material in the duck-but that the part I needed.
One inlet is fresh air to the Rotax air box to the carbs- the other is air to the heater shroud and then to carb heat or cabin heat.

They were made by Donovan Thompson, 905- 380-4388. His shop name is' Hole In the wall'. I believe that he is now working in Burks Falls, Ontario.
Donovan did an excellent job, cost was reasonable. The fabric was aviation quality and the foam was the higher level foam which adapts to the shape of your wallet and buttocks. I have found that it was especially worthwhile for longer flights. Sorry, but I could not find the name of the particular foam but would be glad to track it down if you would like.

Guy, I don't have a picture that shows the detail. I used 2 l angles from the panel to the firewall and made a H frame to support the back of the radio trays, the bottom L angle ,the horizonal one I made longer to pick up the glove box. I also made the verticals longer and tied a piece of stainless rod to form a bow for strength and provide a wire run to tie to. I will try to scan a drawing and send it to you, Jim

I have spent a ton of time looking through you and your firneds build pages. In mostcases on these pages I am a little jealous of the progress so many have made on their projects but in your case I would give anything to have some local frineds involved and building together. How awesome for you guys!!! I wan to make a die for the flanges on my lightening holes. Gus built steel dies Your dies look like aluminum. Are your dies aluminum? If not, do you think aluminum would work? I don't have a hydraulic press but I can get to a mechanical press. Are any of you working? You sem to be able to get together quite often. Good luck and post more video. I plan to video as much of my project as I can. When you do your videos you should comment on what it is you are doing. It could save a lot of typing!!! Take care.

I understand the licencing issues and just wanted to take the time to thank you for answering so quickly. I am a three time plans only builder, two long Ezes and a 601X. I also have the 701 plans but it turns out to be to small for me and my son, we are booth 225 lbs and 6'2". The 750 looks just about right!
Would you be able to send a PDF of the layout of the parts on the raw aluminum sheet, that in itself would be a great help.
