Nope, didn't get that job. So I am still down here in Louisiana building 701s for customers and training them.

As for a plane. Nope. My brother has one and I did use it to train a guy but I will not do that again becuse there isn't any brakes or throttle on the right side in his plane.

Strange how in other countries they allow Expermental aircraft to be used for commerical perpouses. The main reason I can not rent a 701 to teach in here in the USA is because it is Expermental. That's not alowed. I can however instruct in that person's Expermental aircraft. Because the person is paying for me and not the airplane. Some would say "You can use any Expermental aircraft and just charge $150 per hour for your services. It's not like they would be paying for the plane." That's not really true though.

Good luck to you down there. I am glad to hear that the gear on your 701 hasn't been bent yet. So far every single one I know of around here (five of them) have all been bent. It is EXTREAMLY common. When I do training I explain why. Mostly it has to do with the airodynamics of the wing.

Did you ever find someone to instruct you in your 701?  I'm still available. I hopeyou haven't bent the gear already. :)
