Not sure but might be the 1st UL 260i in a 701. Lemme know if anyone else has this combo.

Thanks Lynn! I like the clean look and simplicity/ease of access for maintenance as compared to the Rotax. Post up some pictures of your final installation configuration?

Hi Jim, Got about 100 hrs on it now, very pleased.  FF kit had everything, came with too much prop but Whirlwind then built one specifically for this engine.  Great support from everyone ie; Zenith, UL Power N. America, Whirlwind.  The 701 firewall is different than the 750 so your kinda on your own mounting things.  Performance is probably about the same as with a Rotax from what I can tell but it sounds like a real engine, I like that'  Hope this helps,,,,,,,,,, Cheers,,,,,,  Lynn

Lynn I am considering this engine as an alternative to the Rotax engine; did you have to hand-craft your entire FWF components (mount, baffling, cowling etc.)? I am not aware of any Zenith 701 FWF kit for the UL260i although the UL website states one is "in development". Have you flown your 701 with this engine yet?  What prop did you choose?  If so, will you provide feedback as to performance? Factory support here in North America? Sorry for all the questions! Thanks,

Jim

If that is the 105 hp version of the motor???? I test flew a CH701 with UL Power 260iS engine in 2010 while building at Can-Zac in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. After test flights & setup I checked out the owner on type.
