You know I did not pay much attention to the elevation. At the lowest point it is only 282 feet below sea level. My base airport is 125 feet above so there would not be much of a noticeable difference in performance. Next time I visit I will take note the the Dynon and the GPS.

Actually, silly me. I have all that data at my finger tips I just need to look it up.

The GPS got down to -242 where I spent the night at Furnace Creek. The Dynon's indicated altitude got down to 7 feet which I would guess means I needed to update the Barometric pressure from a local airport - there were none with that information. The density altitude is not included in the data stream, nor is the OAT so I can compute it after the fact. So there you go...

What was your density altitude? What did the GPS have for altitude?
