Most builders are now not installing the header tank. They install leading edge wing tanks with an electric boost fuel pump on each tank to supply the engine. I am considering doing that...just to get 60 litres of fuel out of the cockpit. Right know I have 22 L leading edge tanks that are selectable to pump into the header tank...100L fuel = 6hrs with Rotax 912 80 hp. With a header tank there is always gas fumes in the cockpit, any sloshing over flow comes back over the bubble canopy.
