Different templates are required... on drawing 6-W-8, the reference to the spar template on 6-B-14 needs to be removed.

I made the template and never could get it to work so I use a digital level to set the spar angle and checked it with a protractor level just to double check.
I'm just glad you saw it. You just saved me a lot of confusion.... I noted the information on my plans to be sure I don't forget about it.
Vincent: I guess I'm surprised by this, seems nobody else has said anything. I'm not sure if it's that big of a deal, but I guess I'm a nitpicker for consistency. It could potentially have some wayward effect when putting the skins on, if the spar angle was held at 83 degs to level - and with the rear spar level - but when I think about it, the wings are what they are, the "actual" angle is built into the rib flanges - and the critical angle is the spar carry-through. Even though, it still makes me wonder about some posts I've read where people have had "a tight fit" when it comes time to bolt the wings on. Probably really a different issue... but who knows? I'd rather be absolutely sure... it ain't cheap to have to re-do stuff, so better 100% sure than not.
I'm surprised they don't send a revision of the drawing or post it for everyone to see. My 6-W-8 is dated from July 2011 and I received it this summer. I'm sure you're not the first one to tell them about this! Any way, good catch Brian! I'll be sure to write it down on my plans.
