Buddy, thanks for the details on the vinyl wrap and the way you have your wigwags configured. Where did you source those square LED lights you have attached to your wing struts. I assume those are set up as wigwag as well. I've looked at several on Amazon but concerned whether they'd be bright enough.
Thanks!
The Aircraft is vinyl wrapped using 3M Wrap Film 1080 Series , color code 1080-G336 Gloss Green Envy.
Total around 150 feet of vinyl, I started on other things like doing parts of my truck and Jet ski to learn how to apply correctly, it takes practice applying it over top corrosion protection and aircraft rivets. But its more forgiving then paint.
I forget to mention there are super bright LED landing lights underneath the fuselage also....
There is a total of 5 super bright red strobe lights that are synchronized to flash together, (2 at the top of the rudder, 3 pointing down & left and right under the rear stabilizer (rear tip of the fuselage) at a far distance it look like one light, but can be seen from any angle.
The wigwag lights have two modes, 1) If strobes switch is on , but the landing lights are off, the Wing Strut Light will flash back and forth with a unique random pattern (Left -Right 4 times then Both at same time 4 times and repeat)
Mode 2, If the Landing light switch is on, (strobes switch on or off) the Wing Strut Light switch solid on and don't flash. All done with one 4 poll double throw relay. (Relay changes the 12 volt going to the Lights, bypassing the LED flashed in mode 2 (relay energized)
Buddy, can you share the details on the wigwag lights you installed? Beautiful aircraft! Is that a vinyl wrap or paint?
Thanks,
Dave Gardea
