Because of the issues with cylinder head cooling in slower cruising aircraft such as the CH701, I have dispensed with the fibreglass cooling ducts and made up a cooling box much the same as on a lycoming or continental. It is yet to be tested in flight - watch this space!!

Many thanks for the pictures. One of my buddies, who is in A&P school believes that this is the way to go on a Jabiru in a slow plane. He has followed along with my tribulations and came to that conclusion a few weeks ago. I have had some good luck getting my #5 temps down, but really can't point to a specific "fix" that caused things to work. My other cylinders are significantly cooler than #5, but it is running around 345 degrees.
