To stiffen up to top and bottom skins added T-bar its 1/16 thick-3/4" wide and 1/2" high-riveted every 2" alternating from side to side. Did the bottom first some improvement then the top skin-that did the trick. You can feel buffeting but hear no oil canning.

This looks like a great idea, the source for the alum t-bar would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Bill, that was the info I got on the SD page also. Still your fix actually looks pretty cool.

Michael,

My plane is a version1 that does not have the newer cabin roof design. So at a slow high angle of attack the air would separate from the roof and then buffet down on the top of the fuselage somewhat. Do not know for sure but doubt that it  is an issue with any of the newer planes with the air foul roof design.

Getting ready to start 750 SD build, does anyone know if oil canning is an issue with the SD, and if so has anyone done a mod internally during the build rather than externally after?

Bill, where did you get the  T-Bars.  I think it's my next project.
