Looks great David. Good to hear that the over center problem is unlikely. Your setup is solid that is for sure. Should be a prototype for Zenith. I did use a couple of spacers just to square up the installation. But you could see that there would be ample movement without them. Thanks. When is the inspection?
Hi Doug, Was able to throw the controls around all four corners against the control stops which resulted in nothing past 30-45 degrees from vertical on either servo arm. I think an "over center "scenario is unlikely and may leave the safety brackets off. The alignment of the servo arms to control attachment points via the push/pull tubes was more than way good enough to eliminate the need for spacers at either rod end on either servo. Absolutely no flex in the mounts. I think the setup bodes well for proper autopilot operation....we'll see!!
How did your test go with the movement of the roll servo? Did you ever get close to the safety bracket stopping the movement? I copied your setup and really like how it came together.
