New Viking 180 turbo gear box replacement. The gear box and tines took most of the prop strike damage. Today the engine started without a hiccup.

John, this gearbox is just an even better version of what the 130 is, we decided on all new engines to use the heavier duty Turbo Front Housing of the gearbox, because why not? All 130 engines now come with Sight glass for gear oil, a newer gearbox with more bearings just to get them to last even longer (not any heavier). Also, simply makes it easier for us when our items are universal. Our 90 HP engine uses the same front gearbox housing of the 130, we try to go above and beyond when it comes to making our gearbox robust and making sure not only can it handle the power output being used for, but also power output above that -Alissa
Is there a reason for not using the gear box for the 130?
