Bat Cave (aka Carlsbad Caverns)
The start of the walking trail down onto the caverns. The trail descends a series of switchbacks on a most impressive pathway to the main cavern. This photo was taken from the vicinity of the amphitheater where one can sit in the evening to watch the nightly bat flight as they emerge to hunt bugs. We were a bit too tired to come back for that, so it's something else for the next trip.
