No, the front part just follows the windshield line all the way up and the rest goes down with the wing shape. The junction is naturally rounded to form an eye-pleasing shape - no science here. I got the measurements from the planes drawings and made a template. The aft part is a bit too high and long as I could not figure out the exact position of the wing's trailing edge and assumed it is level with the fuselage. But the end result is very good anyway,
I can post you a couple of photos, which may show this better. I guess the easiest way is just to measure the height of the wing top from the roof and you'll get the dimensions right. Make the rib high enough to allow riveting to the side of the cabin and then you need to cut openings for the wing attachments. I did this on-site as well as the sheets covering the top of the wing roots. If the rib height matches the wing height, the sheets are pretty easy to form and install. As my roof was a bit higher, the bend was slightly more challenging at the rear, but no problems.
Do you have plans or dimensions for the two new "ribs"? I'm seriously considering this mod.
That's right :) Although I'm 188cm myself. A new luggage room on top. I'll try to complete this tomorrow on Saturday.
Looks good...now all you need is taller flying buddies.
