Panel of C-IKIM my Advanced Ultra Light Aircraft (LSA) in Canada. Rotax 912S 100 hp engine. ICOM A210 radio, GARMIN GTX327 MODE C transponder, Composite Design electrical panel, Dynon D180, Bendix King AV80R in an Air Gizmo dock, Andair fuel selector. I have not calibrated the fuel flow (in US Gal) yet.. fuel burn is 15 - 18 litre/hr. I have not turned the AoA feature of the D180 on yet either...to busy flying.

James

Be sure to cover the "dash" area also known as a glareshield with dark black or non-reflective carbon fibre look fabric as I have. The reflection in the windshield of the top skin of the panel is brutal... it is a very bright sun light cockpit. I love it.

Bob,

You recommended a glare shield cover for the D180. Could you give me more info on what you have ?

Jerry I will be adding a verticle card compass on top centre of the glare shield. The D180 has a compass, the AV80R GPS has a compass, my spare GPS in the flight bag has a compass... but I just feel naked without a magnetic compass on the panel.

Absolutely zero problems with the D180. I have flown -30C to +30C and not problems with the life time warranty instrument. ine has the optional 2 hr internal back-up battery. I do recommend a glare shield cover, and wearing of baseball style caps.... or install a tinted sun visor? It helps see the panel in a very bright sunshine cockpit, and prevents sunburning the bald head ! "No laughing" it has happened in both my CH601HD & CH750, so guys are slow learners  :>)

Very sweet!  Any issues with the Dynon?  I'm looking at a D180 myself but heard they can be tricky in the cold.
