A lot of thought and looking at broken doors made me decide to redesign the door latch mechanism.

So,.. the bubble window is an airfoil. When flying it deforms the door into the airstream and bam! no door.

Now to get such large windows, Zenith had to compromise on door rigidity or it would have been 20 lbs. (thats aviation) Currently the door seems to pull up and out while the latches hang on for dear life but flex out.

I am going with a 2 pin approach. A pin in the back that penetrates the structures, a beefier center latch and a pin that goes forward into a steel bracket.

I hope this works. :)
