Well, either you go light (4 oz) and worry it will hold on those not-so-nice-landings OR you go all out and HEAVY (???) and use the Steel Bungee...
Damage to the propellor, gearbox, engine... I'll go HEAVY ... and not worry anymore !!!

Hi Bryan,
Not enough clearance for both incident to occur at the same time, that's for sure. I already had a flat tire on the nosewheel and that wasn't a problem. As long as the propeller ends higher than the rim bottom you're OK.
Now, my reason for going to the Steel bungee is 'Install and forget' - no maintenance as opposed to the 'check every 100 hour/year' bungee cord. It is a real pain to swap that thing where it sits...
I like the 'no maintenance' things much better...

Is there really that little of clearance for the prop and ground? One would think that you would allow for a) flat tire b) a bungee or suspense deflation (but maybe not both at the same time).
