CH701/CH750 Wheel Penetration Skis
This is my "Poor Man's Milling Machine". A 4 1/2" angle grinder with a "Zip Cut" disk and flapper sanding disk. The full length centre section of the 7ft square steel tubing was removed with the zip cut disk, and finished to a useable surface quickly with the flaper sanding disk. Most of the 'birds mouthing" to fit the 4130 steel tube was done with these tools. Very fast once you get rid of those pesky safety shields. (Insert disclaimer here). This picture shows how the 1 ft steel "U" pieces fit over the aluminium rails. Note - axle assemblies are not side braced yet or cut apart for final assembly.
