The 48" long nose ski on my CH750 (Rotax 912S) has lots of clearence from the 72" dia. WARP prop. I think the Jabiru 3300 would also have no clearence issues with a 48" long nose ski. Because the CH750 fuselage is 10" longer the engine is mounted further forward allowing the longer nose ski. The CH701 (Rotax 912) uses a 36" long nose ski. "YES" that is carpet on the floor of my hangar, the concrete is so smooth any snow on your boots is like stepping on a wet mirror...besides sometimes a smart old Zenith builder needs to take a nap in the middle of servicing his aircraft. ;>)

Bob,
It's amazing to see how delicate the tubing looks once finished !! When their were being welded they looked much bigger. Kudos to you and your friend helper for these great sturdy looking skis.
Bob,
I have to say that they look GREAT. Lots of work but well worth the efforts.
