Drill a large hole in the cabin post behind the flaperon attachment bolt. Cover with a plastic cap when done. There is no other way to tighten..or remove this bolt after the aircraft is built. Kit needs to be changed by Zenith to save the builder the grief.

Electric wires and fuel lines dont mix with the moving control rods for the flaperon. This post is between the baggae area windows... use the door post directly behind the seats for the fuel lines & pitot hoses + fuel guage wires.

No because you rivet the side of this "cabin door post" to the outside skin. Its accessable from the bottom via the floor access panel. Install the control rod with the ends and bolts prior to final riveting... no way to take out the rod after assembly.

Hi Bob. Thanx for the tip. Bob if fuel and electric lines are also run down the post do you think it would be feasible to attach cover with rivnuts or nut plates for inspection and maint?
