Michael... YES. I used a 20% off coupon and bought the press for $39.99. I tried it out on a scrap piece of metal. Work perfectly and MUCH quieter than beating your table to death with a hammer. :-) Used a two pieces (top and bottom) of 1/4" flat steel to distribute the force evenly

Are you using the arbor press to form the flanges? The dies turned out nice!

HUh? Oh... you mean the "ID"? Yes... I still need to add a little material to the bottom so the male die doesn't bottom out. Then I will trim the edges small enough to fit inside the ribs etc. I am guessing that will leave be 3/4"-1" edge distance. I am hoping that is enough material to keep it from breaking open under stress.
