Don't know yet what happened...Last take off was difficult.. As if the brakes were ON during the takeoff run.Came back and tried to push back the plane in the hangar... Heard metal clicking and then a tube blowout and a flat !!! The split rim broke in two !!! I just taught if this happened 5 minutes earlier - I was landing.....

Hi guys,
Sent Matco an email with photos. Will see what happens. This also happened to a Murphy Rebel and was reported by Safety Spot from the Light Aviation magazine back in november 2015. The Rebel was overweight for those rims but my 701 was NOT. So WTF ???
The landing was nice on a turf runway... No tire blowout, no main landing gear bent, nothing out of the ordinary...
My girlfriend is worried cause that was too close for comfort...
Will let you know.
Norm
Someone looking after you Norm.
Gad you and your plane are ok.
Tony
Don't know yet ... Bearings are OK - not grabbing. Investigating RIGHT NOW...
While I order a new rim and tube... Nothing else broken - axle is fine, brake pads and disk are OK.
Will let you all know cause this is a REAL CONCERN...
Regards,
Norm
