CH750 Advanced Ultra Light Aircraft (AULA) lifts off and points her nose WEST to Calgary, Alberta. A journey of 2000 miles over the rugged northern Canada wilderness in winter conditions. With the ROTAX 912S purring this CH750 has a 6 hr endurance range... it will be needed. One fuel stop in Sudbury, Ontario and 7 hrs later C-IKIM landed safely in Wawa, Ontario. A SPOT GPS PLB tracks C-IKIM position to Google Earth every 10 minutes for family & friends to follow the progress.

Leo, you bet, it was a big smile in Calgary and in may other places. IKIM landed safe and sound and I feel lucky to have her because she is a very well build bird. Thanks Bob for all your efforts in building this nice machine.

Nov.27 3:30 PM C-IKIM landed Calgary. Covering 2000 miles in 22.5 hrs (with slats) against heavy headwinds and snow storms. 2 days were lost to un-flyable weather. Headwinds had ground speed down to 40 mph in some legs. Temperatures of -15C to -30C while flying. Intrepid flyers and C-IKIM safe and sound.

Hi! How's the flight coming along? When do you expect to arrive in Calgary?

Looking forward to meeting you!

Wow, what a trip!  At 66, my endurance is way less than 6 hours!

Hi Mike, I am planning to hangar the plane in Winter's Aire Park, Indus. Upon arrival to Calgary we will schedule a meeting and you are welcomed to look how Bob build the plane. The plane and the engine are doing well. Cabin heat was ok, but you cannot compare it to a vehicle heating system. But it was providing the heat inside the cockpit.

Hi Bashar

I also live near Calgary and would love to see your airplane. Im working on my 750 now on the fuselage

everything else is done.Have not decided on the engine ,most like a 912.Would like to know how this engine performed for you and did you get enough heat in the cabin?Have a good flight.

Leo, thanks for the offer, our flight path tomorrow is to follow HyWay 17 which runs north of you. Have a nice day and enjoy your machine.
