Low wing flight
Ted Taylor tried to convince me with a flight in his 601XL that his wings are in the right place, and he came pretty close, but not quite. I have to say his panoramic view is pretty spectacular, regardless if he can't see if his tires are still attached. Also with the semi reclining seating position, the comfortable seats, and the view, I could see why he enjoys his cross countries, even if it's mainly airport landings. Another thing he's 6-5, I'm 6-2, neither of us have a cross country runners physique, and there was plenty of room. Bottom line, it was a blast, a great afternoon.

Go back and get it…gently…..and believe it or not, some of us have seen a tire fall off, Oshkosh or maybe it was Sun n Fun at the grass strip…….And, at my strip one of the sport plane guys in a Beaver folded back his wheel departing after hitting a berm, and did a text book one wheel landing. An easy trade off though, for Ted's view….and, he can see if he left his fuel caps at the pump, I can't…..
