Cobden Ski Fly-In & "Train Wrecker Beans"
This is a Tecnam tri-cycle gear that has been flying wheel pentration skis for several winters. I posted this picture because some people have the mistaken idea that Tri-cycle gear don't belong on skis. Tri-cycle gear is far safer. In the last year our flying club has suffered a total loss ground loop (ending inverted) event + a $18,000 repair prop strike (with an instructor in back) on the replacement Citabria. These were experienced taildragger pilots.
